This song just kicked butt! The spacey sounds, the hi hat, the percussion that enveloped it all and that galloping bassline! Everyone freaked at the string stabs at the breaks in the song. High Energy disco for sure. Denis Lepage produced this and later on worked the magic with his wife for the group Lime.

I had no idea they used it! I only knew about it from the Ballon Rouge in Quebec City back in the day....and the Limelight in Montreal...even my bro who was a motorhead then liked it...those were heady days, eh? Now Ive got this tune on my Zune when I'm doing my cardio...this was high energy disco of the "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" calibre...I believe that its influence was instant and helped launch the "high energy" genre of the 80's.

How great to hear from you! "The Break" was the start of my love of Le Page productions, especially Lime. Such energy and bombast! Your voice was the icing on "Your Love", "We're Gonna Love Tonight" and all the other wonderful Lime productions. They still fill the dance floor...do you miss making records? Love, DiscoCat78

Hey you know it would be great to get more information about your band! Like who was in it, whens and whats, maybe a promo photo? Well, its really great that you wrote me! There isn't any info out there. I couldn't find a bio. There was a mention in Peter Shapiro's "Turn The Beat Around: The Secret History of Disco" about this record being the third 12" promotional disco single ever issued.

Oh yeah! This song has many elements of disco. Not a bad song, I would have considered this a "toe tapper"...I remember hearing this one early in the evening while out clubbing so of course, I have a special place for it....

Ive always wanted to hear an extended play version of this classic tune, but there was not a 12" version released that I am aware of. Fame 90 was OK but I liked the idea of using elements of the original song, so here is my extended play version. Hope you like it.

Here is the remix I've been looking for. The proof in this being authentic is the inclusion of Grand Funk Railroad's "I Can Feel Him In The Morning" near the end of the track. This one starts off with the bass guitar slapping away, great energy and the vocal part comes in at just the right time with a timely message. A genius at work..

Another disco nugget of the Sunshine Sound genre. Sung in the dreamy "Rock Your Baby" style, this production brings the drums forward in the mix and makes this single pump! Not one of his great hits, but a goodie nonetheless. This is another of those songs I heard in a megamix and just figured out what it was...Come on and bump your baby!
