It should be a the end of smoke on the water and on another song...maybe 'mr.universe' but I'm not sure...That concert should have been released even as 'unchain your brain, bbc vol 1.' Find them, listen and post a video if you're able...so everyone will believe. But for sure Gillan is not the best only for his highest notes...

Angel air is the label and not the name of the song...So the Angel Air label published a Live album called "Gillan bbc '79-'80". In the 1979 set he reached D6 which for what I know is the highest note ever reached in rock and metal...
By: nadnathan. on 12 Nov 08, 02:07:43
Angel Air, Gillan's D6, I never have heard about this song, could you give more details... Thank you!!!!

By: nadnathan. on 16 Sep 08, 22:53:24

By: nadnathan. on 16 Sep 08, 22:47:14

By: jazztom86. on 14 Sep 08, 22:07:41
What the hell are you talkin' about? How can you compare then with now? He was something like 20 in this video, now he's 60. Now he's an old man, and he sings better than most of the young vocalists around. Respect!
By: stokazomaie. on 13 Sep 08, 17:20:17
yeah, truly agree with you. Perfect rock & pop singer for Deep, he was number one. He started to drink very early...

When the LP "Fireball" came out in 1971,the North American version had "Strange Kind of Woman" on the record, whereas the European version had Demons Eye on it instead.Demons Eye was played briefly on tour in 1971-but eventually "Strange Kind..." won out. They added the guitar-vocal duel to to the end of that song and Demons Eye disappeared from the playlist.Living in Canada,I only heard Demons Eye for the first time on their 24 Karat Purple Greatest Hits LP in the 1980's

one of the best song in rock history....really better than "smoke on the water"!
By: Mish3001. on 29 Aug 08, 00:19:21
Buzzed or drunk, early 70s Gillan is still super incredible, unsurpassable and one in a million, better then than now.
By: Mish3001. on 29 Aug 08, 00:15:31
There a DVD released in late 2007/early 2008 in Europe (PAL Region 2) called Deep Durple Collectors box, besides the "filler" interviews, it boosts having rare footage and on the box itself, it's Gillan wearing the same clothes as on this video .... Anyboby viewed that DVD?
By: GreggTedde. on 28 Aug 08, 09:27:49
I don't think there is an official release of this concert, but probably a video-bootleg
