I need to apologize although this performer uses a C69 chord Neil Young doesn't he uses a C chord. So your music is correct. However boogieman2377 was interested in what this performer is using and that chord is still a C69 chord or a Am11 chord and yes you can still play along using a C chord. Personally I like the chord this performer uses better. If you are wondering how a chord can have 2 names it has to do with voicings a C6 has the same notes as an Am7 but in a different order.

Let me tell you that sheet music is wrong a lot and if the sheet music tells you that I'm sorry for getting on you for that. The C chord will work and not interfere with a c69 chord because a C69 chord contains the notes c e g a and d. If you add an a and a d note to your chord you''l have it. I would throw the a in the bass. BTW I'm also a keyboardist and it is not different for piano. Stay away from the sheet music and develop the ear. Taking a 1st yr music theory class at the JC will help.

I bought the piano sheet music and inside the book it says its C major... Maybe it's different for guitar, but on piano C major sounds just right.

No The second chord is only one frett up on the b string and the rest of the strings are open. This makes the Chord a C 6/9 Chord or probably more appropriately a Am11 chord. If you don't know don't make something up, boogieman2377 heard something interesting about that chord and he isn't going to find it playing a C chord.

I prepare one of my old analog recording projects for a digital "makeover". Probably influenced a bit by the fashion shows my mother and sister watch, but geekier.

@ enemyindisduise: take a look at the Tracktion test from 'MusoTalk' here on YouTube. They claimed that T3 is one of the best sounding DAW applications. So opinions may be different, as well as tastes are. @ acousvnt: sorry, the test I mentioned above is in German only.

For this one I used some reference points, like the piano at the beginning for example, and wound up adjusting things a bit by ear anyway. Reel 2 has a submix from reel 1, so that provided a reference too.

The R8 outs go to the line ins, I think I used channels 5-12 because they're stereo pairs. I don't use the R8 ins anymore because I no longer record to it, but when I did record to it I think I used the channel inserts from 1-4.

Yes, I think Tracktion is great. If they keep going in the same direction with it will start to become a more familiar name (I don't hear it mentioned often). I bought it because I enjoyed the demo so much, and it's affordable. I still have 2, don't know how much better 3 is.

I did actually play at the last two open mics! In fact, instead of playing guitar, I played piano, total improvisation off the top of my head; first time was by myself and second time with a drummer who had no idea what we were about to do (he'd never played with me or even heard me playing piano) but had experience improvising on percussion and playing ordinary objects as percussion. Very bold and adventurous, and people liked it!

The reason I posted chords for "purple" is because I think musicians assume my songs are more complicated than they really are; it's usually just a matter of a weird chord or two that throw them off. I haven't had requests for those, but I figured it was relatively play-able, and if anyone wants to try it, go for it.

Of the 3 tho, Soul Peer is the really exciting one 2 hear take shape. Unlike, say, WDYTOY (or some of your other more 'intense' progrock pieces), this one works as both a simple acoustic number AND something that could work with all the orchestral bells & penny whistles aboard. It works out fine for me because I like a lot of music from the late 60s and early 70s, where the bass sound is warm and simple. And there isn't a single effect on it, that's just direct, unprocessed sound.

Not the best range for my voice, it's in that zone where I have to either alternate between regular voice and falsetto, or sing really loud and strained. Fortunately for you, I chose the former.

Besides the obvious YouTube joke in the title, this is the first time I've filmed the girls with the camera inside the cage (thanks for not chewing the cord), and after filming it I loaded the whole thing into Moho (now "Anime Pro") animation software to simulate camera movement.
Starring (in order of appearance) Ralphie the wild mouse, and Emily Junior the fancy mouse.

The main staple for my mice is Regal Rat rat food. Their dish empties very quickly, but it's not because they're actually *eating* it quickly. They much prefer treats, which is basically anything *other* than Regal Rat, and they know if they hide the rat food well enough, they'll get more treats.
