This is what happens when people who feel "entitled" get any sort of power. They act like ignorant, petulant children when they don't get their way. They want all the respect in the world and then refuse to give it to anyone else. They fight "ad hominem" which means they have no real argument so they attack their opponent personally. Oh my gosh, Monica Conyers is CRAZY!!!!!!!!! Not only did she act like a complete fool in that famous "Shrek" meeting, she is so ignorant, rude and juvenile that a child had to put her in her place!! Even then, Monica does not back down and has to have the last word when she should shut up, apologize and set a positive example for these girls, who are clearly already more intelligent!!!!

The 8th grader was raised properly (UNCOMMON to see these days). She evidentally was more mature than Ms. Conyers. Conyers compared herself to an elementary school student. As if acting like a child was okay? Instead of a mature adult? Her stooping to playground name calling only proved she can't handle pressure. If I was from Detroit, I would be embarrassed that my council person could not handle situations in a debate any better than that. I can't see how anyone would vote for her again.

I know I've commented here quite a bit, but on a serious note-we black folks really need to hold our leaders-those we elect to office, to a higher standard. Kilpatrick? Conyers? Are you telling me that this is the best Detroit has to offer? If that's the case, I'm concerned about the future of that city.
