People need to realize that they are NOT required to read the Bible every day, at least not out of obligation: When we read the Bible it is because we have earnestly thrown everything off and are determined to know him and he gives us a rebirth. Then we mind the things of God because we WANT TO, not because we HAVE TO! Everything is done by faith in God, knowing he will teach us whether through the Bible or life, etc. I'm glad your cold is better.

Fasting has been going on since the Old Testament with Adam and Eve, who God told them they can eat everything they wanted from Paradise except from the tree of knowledge of good & bad, and from the tree of Life, and after Jesus Christ came he also established a new way of fasting. My friend, no one can even come to God unless he is drawn to Him by the Spirit of God. When we hear the message of salvation and forgiveness of sins through Jesus the Christ, we have a choice to make. Some are not open at first. Some take years to realize the gift that God is extending to them through Christ. It is not a stupid thing. It takes alot of backbone and commitment to follow Christ. But we do it through the help of the Holy Spirit. We are not perfect, but we strive towards that goal..

Only the Son of God, the Messiah, could do that, since He was the one chosen by God to accomplish this task. No one is denying the great teachers of morality and virtue, but none of then have the power to atone for sins, theirs or others. God has only accepted Jesus's sacrifice for sin. Jesus wasn´t strong by being weak. Jesus was strong in all ways. Being strong has nothing to do with violents. Weeping has nothing to do with weakness. If Satan was working for God, then Jesus wouldn't had a reason to accuse him of doing things that are not from God; like God's personal zombie. Of course,there are countless of other examples like Revelation where it says that God will send Satan,the False Prophet and hell (the darkness of death) into the lake of fire forever. There was an episode in Bible where it says that Satan possessed Peter temporarily and he used Peter to convince Jesus NOT to die on the cross. Then Jesus turned to him and told him: "Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." I would recommend anyone that have interest in the symbolic meanings of the polarisation of belief, where we modern day people tend to divide Gods kingdom into several polarized parts; read the scriptures of the early gnostics, such as The Nag Hammadi documents.
