okay for this game you dont need a gold account you can play on silver but yes you have to pay for online play.

No, infact no one ever talks. when i first got it i was alone for a long time. i thought no one could hear me typing but it just takes time untill someone invites you to a clan. but nah you dont need a headset, maybe a keyboard to make it easier to type

1:00-1:39 is not FFXI. It is a tech demo of what the NEW SE MMORPG could look like. The character armor looks like FFXI because they are FFXI armor. The rest of the video is indeed FFXI though.
