Yes this is not the one, which plays in this scene. But this particular music Adagio for Strings, is WAAAAAAAAAAY Better than the original one that the Smallville producers used in that funeral scene. And I admit that, this is one of the rarest Smallville videos on youtube, that the chosen music is much better than the original one.

Definitely Not in Smallville Don't compare THIS Lex with the Comics Lex. This is SMALLVILLE we are talking about. Not comics. No, it's not the best performance, actually...Schumann was very, but VERY romantic, and Phantasietanz its not an exception, and this performance lack a lot of emotion. Not exactly 'crazy fast', but at a speed that gives people that feeling. I agree with your teacher, it should be played quickly. (schnell-quickly) Bring out the melody in the left hand and less of the right hand, and definetely don't forget the dynamics. Exaggerate a little even.
