Their motives were similiar. Tabuu wanted to take over Smash Land, Marx wanted to take over Popstar. Tabuu controlled master hand to trick Ganondorf, Bowser, and Wario into helping him, then betrayed them. likewise, Marx tricked Kirby. Really, their only difference is their attacks, appearance, and demise.

I always thought that Marx was more evil. Marx actually used deceit to get what he wanted and had no chance of being good. Tabuu, I always felt there was a reason for what he did. Yet, that's a plothole that can only be theorized, due to the fact that there is no actual dialogue.

So do I, I think Marx is adorable. But that kind of took away from the epic-ness of him being the final boss, ya know? I mean, which seems to pose more of a threat, a poofy little clownlike thing, or a digital looking master of something called "Subspace," which sounds pretty intimidating on it's own, who is capable of turning you into a statue, warping away whole masses of land and water, and having the capability of synthesizing evil creatures at will?
