that pickup configuration wont work dude, you'd have to have All EMG's, if there is just one EMG active and some other passive pickups the EMG will get messed up soundwise.

Hey nice bass you got there :) Mine is quite similar.I recently came across a CIJ '51 Precision and i had to have it hehe... They are rare down where i am (South Australia), don't see to many of them. Luckily, when I came across this beauty, the shop was having big sale... so i got it for 50% off! I was contemplating the Squire Vintage Modified TB Bass, but for $200 more, i got a much much better Fender. I was very very happy as you could imagine hehe

Then you're an idiot. Is it less flat because it's not large? Sanding a dead flat surface without a block is the mark of a rank amateur or a someone that never really learned the lessons of his trade. Small is relative only to your eyes, not the light source that is going to highlight all the flaws because you're too lazy to cut paper to fit a block.
