Though I don't actually think she looks bored, mad or even sad, if you listen to an entire Camera Obscura album I think you'll understand why she looks that way. I think this is a great project but I've never liked the idea of interacting with this kind of technology without some kind of physical interaction. I would like to see this idea with some kind of glass screen so you were manipulating the digital content on a glass plate but the audience could still see the presenter.

The 'xylophone riff' (that's not a xylophone! lol) is on the album version, but is mixed a little louder here in the video version. You know, when I first heard Obscura I didn't get it. It was weird, random, and unlike anything i'd ever heard. It was annoying also so I just stopped listening to it about halfway through. And then, upon the second listen..I just can't exlpain it. Something in my brain just clicked and I got the sensation that I was listening to one of the greatest peices of music ever recorded. Obscura is hands down, one of the greatest muscial achievements ever recorded. Gorguts are gods of all in metal

I'm spoiled for all foreseeable future metal. I've listened to Obscura (the album) roughly 40 times in the last week. It's only in the last day that I've listened to anything else, and I'm sorely disappointed with even my previous favourites Akercocke. Gorguts surpasses everything else I have ever heard in metal. Worse yet, as far as I can tell, there is nothing else quite like this. My friends, I am fucked.

You' ve been misdirected. There are some logical steps you need to take. I suggest you listen to Erosion of Sanity first. Then go for From Wisdom to Hate (they both are excellent albums) and maybe after that you will be ready for Obscura.

Human's a solid album(one of my first death metal records), but I don't think it can hold a candle to this. Human was a lot more forgiving, and seemed a lot less complicated and creative. Don't give up on Obscura, though. It can be hard to "get" at first, but after a few listens, you might find yourself hooked.

What are the advantages to this? Sure, it looks pretty, but wouldn't personal computers (many of which already incorporate touch screens) be more efficient? Multi-touch can serve its purposes, but giant wall computers which several people control seems a little pointless.

I'm formulating a theory here - percussion and bass very Jesus and Mary Chain. Nothing new under the sun. Native Scottish influence. Nothing wrong with that though -early Simple Minds, The Skids, Orange Juice, Delgados,Teenage Fanclub- they are all there. This song suits Traceyanne's voice much better than up-tempo songs like "Lloyd I'm Ready" and "If Looks Could Kill". She doesn't have the strongest voice, but her sweet, gentle vocals blend beautifully with the music here. :)
