My son has Aspergers and he compulsively blinks, flaps his hands, sniffs quickly in and out of his nose and hums. I don't see any physical repetitive behavior. Are you just lucky?

Well, i'm personally very intuitive i can look at people and know how they feel. It can be very useful, it makes it easier to trust people and for people to trust you, it means you can avoid acting like a twat and saying something insensitive or coming off as uncaring. It makes forming friendships a whole lot easier, and it means you know how people feel about certain subjects so you can avoid them.

'Aspergers' is VERY under and overdiagnosed! We live in a highly complex and often difficult society, even for people with no autism. It seems that as soon many of these psychologists 'treat' a person with problems, they classify most as having 'Aspergers', when in fact, many DON'T! This is doing a GREAT DISSERVICE to those that actually DO have it!!!

To be honest, I don't think facial expressions are really that important. If I can hear what the person is saying, that's good enough for me. Lexical analysis of their speech is what I focus on and to be honest I cannot tell how they feel unless it they tell me, or if it is the bleeding obvious. But can someone explain to me why we should bother worrying about how other people feel when they talk (unless they tell us how they feel)?

woah, that must have been so hard feeling differant but not knowing why. i'm so glad that you've posted a video about yourself and that you are able to explain it. and for the person below that last posted a comment, people with aspergers have social difficulties but often have more superior grammer and vocabulary than people without!

bikiniartist - you are very articulate, very accurate in your comments and I'm glad you chose to post your video. My oldest daughter seems to have aspergers (not officially, but as a mom with 6 kids I know somethings a bit different). My 3rd daughter has PDD-NOS - definately on 'the spectrum'. I'm glad you are so honest on your video post. By the way - I love your parenthases! Cracked me up. I knew exactly what they were when you were holding up your arms!
